NPCSC Vice-Chairman & Secretary-General Li Jianguo Inspects Tencent

On the morning of January 14 2011 Li Jianguo Vice-Chairman & Secretary-General of the National People’s Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC) inspected Tencent Headquarters in Shenzhen. He was accompanied by NPCSC Deputy Secretaries-General Qiao Xiaoyang and He Yehui Shenzhen Municipal People’s Congress Director Liu Yupu and Shenzhen Vice-Mayor Chen Gaihu. Tencent Founder and CEO Pony Ma and Tencent Founder and CAO Charles Chen received the Vice-Chairman Li Jianguo delegation on behalf of the company. At the Tencent Exhibition Hall CEO Pony Ma and CAO Charles Chen introduced to Vice-Chairman Li Jianguo Tencent’s history business model market position and Internet industry development both at home and abroad. Vice-Chairman Li Jianguo also experienced various Tencent products. Subsequently Vice-Chairman Li Jianguo went to Tencent’s Emergency Coordination and Command Center to learn about how Tencent copes with various emergency events to ensure the provision of stable data services and secure and healthy information services to massive users.

Vice-Chairman Li Jianguo spoke highly of Tencent’s development in the past 12 years. He said it’s exciting that Tencent as a representative of Chinese Internet enterprises has firmly seized the market initiative in its competitions with international enterprises. Vice-Chairman Li Jianguo hoped that Tencent can bear in mind the great trust of General Secretary Hu Jintao and grow better and better. Before the inspection concluded CEO Pony Ma presented a crystal QQ to Vice-Chairman Li Jianguo on behalf of Tencent. Vice-Chairman Li Jianguo happily received the gift and took a group photo.
