This Policy applies to all business operations of the Tencent Group (hereinafter referred to as "the Group").

Governance of Environmental Issues

  1. 1. The management of Tencent Group's environmental issues is based on the ESG governance framework. It is coordinated and managed by the ESG Working Group, which reports to the Board of Directors and the Corporate Governance Committee.

  3. 3. Encourage the integration of low-carbon considerations in the development of various products and services while seeking opportunities for low-carbon transformation through digital technologies.

Utilizing Energy and Water Resources

  1. 1. Conduct energy efficiency assessments and audits, and also obtain environmental or energy management system certifications, such as green building certifications, for our office buildings and data centers.
  2. 2. Each office and data center campus should develop its own energy- and water-saving plan to improve energy and water efficiency. Actively promote water reuse and recycling.
  3. 3. Encourage the increased use of clean energy, including but not limited to purchasing green power, building renewable energy facilities and energy storage facilities, and exploring alternative new clean energy sources.

Waste Management
